Driving south to Trévelez, a quaint village nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains, I felt a surge of anticipation. Beneath the blazing sun, I began my ascent towards Mulhacén, relishing the freedom and serenity of the mountains. With each step, I felt a profound connection to the rugged beauty of the Sierra Nevada. As I ascended towards the summit, the trail unfolded before me, a testament to the indomitable spirit of adventure that resides within us all.
After hours of relentless ascent, I stood triumphantly atop Mulhacén, the highest point in the Iberian Peninsula. Amidst the solitude of the summit, I savored a simple yet satisfying reward: a "bocadillo de jamón," a taste of tradition and indulgence amidst the breathtaking scenery.
Solo climbing Mulhacén amidst the uncertainties of the pandemic was a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring power of nature to inspire and uplift.

As I descended from the summit, filled with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude, I carried with me the memories of a journey that had tested my limits and reaffirmed my connection to the mountains. In the midst of uncertainty, adventure awaits, reminding us to embrace the challenges and seize the opportunities that lie ahead.
