Half tourist vs Half runner

Set up a goal in your routine and you will have a reason to jump from bed every morning…

My sport-adventure goal this year is to run Chicago´s marathon under 3 hours (at least I promise I will try!), which would mean to run around 6:50 minutes per mile. As you may know, running a marathon is a mental goal rather a physical one.

As part of my training plan I decided to enter in a “localish” race which was highly recommended by my fellow runners. The Bewl 15 is a beautiful although undulating course with amazing views around the well know Bewl Water, a reservoir in the valley of the River Bewl between Kent and Essex.

I do not normally carry my camera when running, in fact this is the first time I have ever done but on this occasion I decided to be a half runner and half tourist, the result can be enjoyed below:

As a curiosity, I ended up in 26th position, 1:41
